It's interesting that it's now old enough to not be in copyright considering its history. Bram Stoker's widow sued the filmmakers for copyright infringement back when it was released. All copies were supposed to be destroyed (but thankfully at least one copy was missed).

The image quality is pretty good. It's low contrast at times, but still very nice looking for a century old film.
The music choices are mixed, though. Sometimes the songs are great and sometimes they're terrible.

Oh, I remembered that character being used on that Spongebob episode called ''Graveyard Shift'' when Squidward says ''Then who's flicking out the lights?'' and it was used in the opening of the movie ''Ernest Scared Stupid'' Y'know that movie being reviewed by the Nostalgia Critic, I'm so glad I found the original source on the Internet Archive this is so good, I give it an 5/5!

Everything the uploader is responsible for is fine, but whoever made the dvd made some frankly baffling choices putting it together, so I'd strongly recommend watching one of the other uploads on here (some of the more recent ones also have better picture quality, which again, I'm pretty sure is on the dvd itself and not the transfer process)
All the actual footage seems to be there and fine, but because it's a silent film all the dialogue is obviously on dialogue cards, and the way the makers of the dvd have translated it all from the German is incredibly weird.
A lot of the character names have been changed (to bring them closer in line with Stoker's book I assume?): for example, Hutter has been renamed Harker, Knock the agent is now named Renfield, Harding and his sister are now Westenra and his wife Lucy, Ellen is named Nina (with an N, for some reason) and Orlok is referred to as Dracula.
The dialogue itself is also... off. Some lines have been left out entirely (Ellen/Nina's line about killing the flowers is just gone, for example) and a huge amount of the rest of the dialogue is either awkward or incorrect (again, just taking one example, Hutter/Harker's line about how "I must travel far, far away to the land of thieves and phantoms" is presented here as "I may be away for several months, Nina. Renfield is sending me to some lost corner of the Carpathians." Hopefully the difference in tone and implication is pretty obvious.)
Plus the sound track on this version is just plain odd. The music is romantic when it ought to be dramatic and downright sinister when romantic scenes are taking place, to the point where I kind of wonder if the makers of the dvd scrambled the track order somehow.
To be clear none of this is the uploaders fault, but yeah, tl;dr version: try one of the other versions on here if you want to actually understand what's going on.

I watched this online earlier and I had no problems with the flow of the episodes. Transition was smooth. The film is better viewed though as is - with the default small screen rather than switching it to full screen mode. The volume was fine as well.
A couple of things I didn't like: 1. the soundtrack - It didn't bring out the creepy factor I was expecting. I wish it sounded more spooky. 2. Nosferatu carrying his coffin upon arriving at Bremen was kinda silly. I was hoping Renfield was there to assist him.
Overall, considering the year it was made and the controversy surrounding it, I'd say that this silent film wasn't that bad at all.

Hey ! If you want to merge the 5 files into 1 Download a full free program called "Videopad Video Editor" (NCH) @3.8mb. No software problems, ran well and merged files in about same time as movie length.Enjoy

If you guys had downloaded all the files you'd have seen that there are NO frames missing, even though the length of the files is not 1000 MB.
wget also gets 953 MB so all the previous comments seem to have been left by morons.
Thanks for the upload.

The download file size for the MPEG2 files is shown as 1000MB but in both the FTP anf HTTP folders the file size is only 953MB - leaving the download files incomplete.

I use sidux(linux) with wget as a download manager. Basically, it will not give up on a download no matter what. Just for giggles I used the linux version of firefox(iceweasel) and left for an hour. It did indeed stop the download short as though it was finished. Your connections are dropping for whatever reason. You need to keep the connection up by using your browser every whatever amount of time. If you're on linux use wget and it's endless features. I don't do Windows!
